Some Interesting Facts  

 

U.S. neurologist Roger Sperry worked on mapping brain functions. He was the first to show that the left side of the brain is mainly involved in verbal and written skills, logic and mathematical ability, while the right side was more active in visual recognition and artistic expressions.  

 

 

     

Roger Sperry along with David Hubel and Torsten Wiesel shard the Nobel Prize for their research on the way in which the higher centres of the brain process visual and other sensory information in 1981.
