Egg Sale on Web to Infertile Couples |

There
is a website offering ovarian eggs of models on sale to
infertile couples. Ron Harris, a photographer from Malibu, California, opened his website to auction the ovarian eggs of beautiful women, with opening bids of $ 15,000 going up to $ 150,000. On the website Harris claimed that he had three donors - all strugling actresses and he was looking for more. His requirements to qualify as a donor are that the donor should be beautiful, healthy and between 18 and 30 years old. Infertily is a serious disease that affects some 6.1 million U.S women and their partners. Donor egg programme exists to help infertile couples have children they very much desire even if it means using another womans's eggs to do so. American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) which groups docotrs and infertility experts, find Ron Harris's venture of 'Selling Eggs', offensive and unethical. |
